The Shaggy Sheep

Are you looking for some delicious homemade breakfast or lunch?

This week on Exploring 285 we visit The Shaggy Sheep in beautiful Grant, Colorado ! They are a casual, mountain cookhouse located on the 285 Corridor near Guanella Pass and on the way to the high country.

The Shaggy Sheep got its name from the resident big horn sheep that are seen along the highway and in the local area. Shaggy Sheep makes their food fresh and is great all year long! In the summertime they have live music and the food truck for a quick grab and go option in the back yard.

Guanella Pass is well known for its beautiful scenery during leaf peeping season. It is the back road to Georgetown and accesses Mt Beirdstat, one of the local 14ers! If you have not been through here yet, you need to check it out! Bring a jacket as it can get colder. Do remember the pass is closed during the winter season!

Not to worry because Shaggy Sheep is open year round. Check their website https://www.the-shaggy-sheep.com/ to be sure of their hours and go enjoy some delicious, homemade food!
